Un film che viene riproposto a 80 anni dalla morte, nel 1935, del tenente colonnello Thomas Edward Lawrence, dal quale il film prende spunto. T.E. Lawrence era un agente segreto, militare, archeologo e scrittore britannico, nativo del Galles. Il giovane tenente Lawrence ottiene la carica di osservatore del principe Faisal, capo di un\u2019armata tribale araba. Da semplice osservatore, Lawrence decide di restare per aiutare Faisal.
